In all industrial fields there is a growing need of software that can simulate the dynamic behaviour of a controlled system or process as if it were the real one, as part of a digital twin system. This often includes software that can manage Hardware in the Loop (HIL) real-time simulations that are needed to validate the control algorithms and logics and to verify the control and diagnostic systems reaction to emergency situations or fault conditions.
Thanks to the almost thirty-year activity and its wide background in process and rotating machinery modelling and simulation, SATE provides extensive sets of libraries and tools for physical-mathematical simulation of thermo-dynamic systems or mechanical systems for the verification and optimisation of their design and control.
TGSim Plus™ was delivered to simulate the 0-D thermodynamics of the customer GT plant and provide performance indications, investigating the plant’s response to control actions in real time and allowing to effectively optimize transients and steady-state operations.
SATE provides services for dynamic simulations of pressure pulsation in fluid plants, due to reciprocating machines, rotary compressors, axial and centrifugal turbomachinery, and vorticity in piping diffusers, dead branches, or junctions.
Telescope dynamic simulation
SATE developed for OHB Italy the dynamic simulation model of the Fly-Eye telescope for space debris tracking, with the purpose of design and tuning of the control system and the verification of the oscillations during the tracking operations.
